The Swiss_Mouse constantly hears about what a bad economy we have in the United States.
Bull!
Here is Swiss_Mouse’s proof (dispute if you will):
Every restaurant in the entire metropolitan area where the Swiss_Mouse lives is almost always full on Friday and Saturday nights. Proof? YES! Look, if people have more than enough money to go and shell out $30 to $40 for a normal meal, then economy is NOT suffering. Are people losing their jobs? YES, but people are always losing jobs as the economy and businesses shift around.
Last Friday night, the Swiss_Mouse was in his car listening to talk radio. As the newscasters or hosts went on and on about Wall Street and how awful the market was doing and then sound bites from the presidential candidates talking about what awful shape the American family is in financially, the Swiss_Mouse drove past restaurant after restaurant (no NOT Mickey D’s …and yes…the Swiss_Mouse loves Mayor McCheese) and the parking lots were all full. People were standing in lines to get in. This was not one restaurant, this was multiple restaurants, one after the other.
The Swiss_Mouse watches as people gobble up large screen TVs. But the economy’s bad.
People ponder HD or Blu-ray disks (at $25 each). But the economy is bad.
In summer the lawn services are at work everywhere. But the economy is bad.
More and more people are on the road. But the economy is bad.
Teenagers have cell phones that cost more than what the Swiss_Mouse makes in a day. But the economy is bad.
Teens are driving cars that he Swiss_Mouse could never afford insurance on. But the economy is bad.
BULL!

Is this proof that the economy is okay or that we are just plaine lazy. We are a society of must have it now people so buying food at an appropriate price always get’s trumped by eating out. Not that we can afford it but the Jones eat out therefore, so must we.

Well you humans are lazy on a whole and based on the average weight of people lining up at Hometown Buffet, lazy too.
BUT the Swiss_Mouse still says that there is so much disposable income that people have zero issues dumping out $11.99 for a burger at Applebees, Chilis or Fatties (Swiss_Mouse made the last one up…he thinks).
