As an experiment with October coming up, the Swiss_Mouse is removing all:

• Google Adsense sidebar items
• Embedded Google Adsense links (in new posts)
• Banners: 1and1.com and Americanfone

He is going to see what if any effect this has on traffic, bounce rates, etc.

Sure he’ll miss the sweet cheddar…but ultimately does this affect the blog or not?

Also please note that

• Blogrush Widget stays in place  (for now)
• Hearnew.com link added
• New Blogroll entries (and more on the way)
