Technically 3.47% for electric bill for February.
As mentioned in a previous email, the Swiss_Mouse switched all of his flood lights and regular bulbs to Compact Fluorescent bulbs.
One of the bulbs did burn out after just one week.
Was this reduction a fluke or true savings? Only the next few months will tell. However the dollar amount saved was only $6.57. So in order to recoup the cost of replacement, the Swiss_Mouse will have to save a similar amount every month for the next 2 1/2 year, minimum. Sigh, a long time to save cheddar.
IF the CFL bulbs live up to their supposed 7 year life span, then yes, the Swiss_Mouse will ultimately save money. If they only have a lifespan of weeks…then the Swiss_Mouse is losing cheddar.
