For the first time in 5 years, the Swiss_Mouse dusted off his resume.

He updated it with all of his various work and cheese experience, which actually was a bit of a task.

Recommendation:  Update your resume onces every 6 months!  Put a reminder on your Google/Yahoo/Outlook/Star Wars calendar and keep it up to date!

The Swiss_Mouse updated, proofread, adjusted, tweaked, then generated a PDF and…..sent it off to a recruiter, specifically for a job position that he had heard about from a friend.  The job offers more money, but although the job requirements are rather hefty in terms of skills sets, the skills involved are not the most “current”.  Basically the technology involved is, well let’s say two steps behind current.  Which is fine.

But what pushed the Mouse to send out his resume for the first time in approximately 7 years?  Well he won’t go into it, but let’s just say his place of employment is not what it used to be.  The environment is more complex than it needs to be and praise is aimed at those who quite frankly shouldn’t receive it.  The Mouse has decided that he needs to start considering moving on.  If for no other reason than his mental health.
