Others will read this blog entry and say “The Swiss_Mouse is an idiot!”  But, these people are all trying to make internet millions off of google ads and affliate sales.  HEY so is the Swiss_Mouse, but there are few John Chow dot com moguls or even the site TechCrunch mentioned in his latest post. 

The Swiss_Mouse presents a story and simple method for saving a little bit of cheddar.

A few years ago the Swiss_Mouse read an article about how teenagers today did not waste their time on “spare change”.  The article stated that polled teens would not even stop and pick up a quarter if it were lying on the street.   One woman in the story related that at her son’s high school, the average teens though so little of change, that they would leave it on the tables or  throw their change away with their trash after lunch!!!  The woman in the story said her son would go around and pick up the change and frequently  made $10 a day.  Good for him.

The Swiss_Mouse started a practice a few years ago.  Every day, at the end of the work day, the Swiss_Mouse would take the change from his pocket and put it in a glass jar.  Anytime the Swiss_Mouse came home from shopping or running errands, he would follow the same practice.   Eventually, the jar would fill, the Swiss_Mouse would store the change in a bag and begin the process over again.  You get the picture. 

Today the Swiss_Mouse turned in his accumulated bag of “small change” and received $121.96 in return.  This is for about 6 months of collecting change.  Perhaps miniscule to others, but how many Google ads have to be clicked on to get that kind of cheddar.

Get a jar.  Everyday, dump in your change.  Every 6 months cash it in.  Add the amount to your “Million Dollar fund.”  Every crumb of cheddar counts.
