The Swiss_Mouse is an edumakated mouse.  That’s right the Swiss_Mouse does have a BA degree, a double major in fact.

But as the Swiss_Mouse heads into the late stages of his career, he wonders if he should be get more edumakation.

He’s mentioned his choices before, but the subject has come up again.  Recently a cow-worker got her MBA.  Company paid for and done 1 or 2 nights a week over a period of about 18 months.  At the company’s building no less.  Now the cow-worker states (and the Swiss_Mouse believes) that she doesn’t “care” about the designation nor the benefits she might reap.  She did it for the education.

She is not like the other MBA’s at work, running around the halls yelling about process improvement and deadlines.  Gantt charts and powerpoint presentations on Key Performance Indicators.  No, she is more level-headed.

The Swiss_Mouse should have gone back to school when he was younger.  But what should he do now?

• Work on getting shorter term, quicker to obtain technical certifications?
• Work on a longer term MBA or equivalent degree?
• Work on generating and accumulating cheddar from his web ventures?

The Mouse is torn.  He would like a higher degree, but the Wizard didn’t give him too good of a brain, he barely got the B.A.!  Besides, he is tired of business.  But the company wouldn’t pay for a history degree!  The Swiss_Mouse has thought of packing in the electives, the paying for any extra classes in order to get both a business degree AND a degree in a subject of interest.

The certification route is appealing, but those only help in the short term.  NO ONE questions your college degree!!!!  Well less so.

Making cheddar.  That is the most appealing, but a fall back would be nice.

The Swiss_Mouse must make some decisions this year.
